Thomas Cloetingh, President, CEO, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Cloetingh founded the company in 1984 and is currently the President and CEO of Signal Holdings. He has initiated several strategies to vertically integrate and enhance Signal’s core competencies, including the formation of a Bermuda based reinsurance company in 1994 and a supply chain management company in 1999, CWork Solutions, to lower the cost of claims for Signal’s customers. Prior to forming The Signal, Mr. Cloetingh held operations roles in a marketing and distribution company and professional roles in public accounting. He has a BS degree from George Washington University and an MBA from Drexel University.

Stephen Cloetingh, Executive Vice President
Mr. Cloetingh, co-founder, has been with Signal Holdings since 1984, and currently serves as Executive Vice President. He began his business career in 1981 with AMP Inc. directly out of college. Mr. Cloetingh’s primary focus is on sales, business development and client relationship management for the wireless product lines. Mr. Cloetingh has a BA from Gettysburg College. |
Gregg Bien, Executive Vice President & CFO
Mr. Bien joined Signal as Chief Financial Officer in Jan 2003. Mr. Bien's responsibilities include managing Finance, Analysis, and Accounting operations for all Signal Holdings entities. Mr. Bien brings over 18 years of wireless and cable experience to this position. Prior to joining Signal, Mr. Bien was Vice President, Financial Operations for TeleCorp PCS / AT&T Wireless Services, where he managed Financial Reporting, Logistics, Inventory, Purchasing, Commissions, Fraud, and Collections for the company. During his tenure, TeleCorp grew from a start up organization to over $1 billion in annual revenue, operating both domestically and in Puerto Rico. Mr. Bien also has held various financial and operations positions at AT&T, The Walt Disney Company, and Deloitte and Touche. Mr. Bien is a CPA, and holds a BS degree in Accounting and an MBA from UCLA. |
Paul Shiah, Executive Vice President of Operations Mr. Shiah joined Signal in July 2004 and is the Executive Vice President of Operations. He joined Signal from Solectron Corporation, where for the prior six years he was the National Director of Wireless Field Services. He was responsible for leading a 1,900-person, 600-location wireless services unit, which provided store-based technicians for wireless carriers. Prior to that role, Mr. Shiah held a number of senior level Human Resources positions with Americom Wireless, Waverly, Inc., and Sweetheart Cup Corporation. He holds both a BS and MBA in Business from SUNY Buffalo. |
Scott Sachs, Vice President, Call Center Operations
Mr. Sachs has been the Vice President, Call Center Operations at Signal since December 1999. In this capacity, he is responsible for call center operations for both the Insurance and Warranty Division of Signal’s call centers. In addition, Scott is responsible for Training, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Fraud Management. Prior to joining The Signal, Mr. Sachs was Vice President of Customer Relations for Comcast Cellular Communications for four and a half years. At Comcast, he was responsible for Customer Service, Customer Retention, Credit and Collections, Call Center Technology, Quality, and Training. Prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Sachs was at American Express for over nine years, holding positions in both the Technology and Operations areas. He has a BS from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from Columbia University. |
Dave Crossett, Vice President of Information Technology Mr. Crossett joined Signal in August 1999 and is the Vice President of Information Technology. He is responsible for all aspects of the Signal Holdings computer and voice solutions. Prior to joining Signal, he spent his entire career with insurance based companies. He was director of applications at Cigna in their Special Risk Facilities. He spent many years with Brown and Brown Inc. He served as Assistant Vice President of Technology in the corporate office where he aided in technology solutions. Mr. Crossett started his career with Industrial Risk Insurers where he was a loss control engineer and underwriter. He has a degree in Fire Protection Technology. |
Ed Gorman, Vice President of Account Management
Mr. Gorman joined Signal in July 2003 to head up the company's Account Management group. Mr. Gorman's primary responsibilities include ensuring the day-to-day execution of customer requirements, implementing "best practices" within each of the company's accounts, and working to ensure customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Signal Holdings LLC, he worked for Solectron Global Services, the services division of Solectron Corporation, for over four years. At Solectron, Mr. Gorman served in a variety of roles in the company's Wireless Services Division, including Business Manager, Business Support Manager, Global Account Manager, and Marketing Director. From 1992-1999, Mr. Gorman was the Sales and Marketing Director for Signius Corporation, a nationwide call center company. He also worked in the cable television industry and in retail sales of home electronic products. Mr. Gorman has a BA in Business and Economics from St. Anselm's College. |
Pat O’Callaghan, Vice President, Logistics & Repair Operations
Mr. O’Callaghan joined Signal Holdings in July 2004 and serves as the company’s Vice President and General Manager of the Company’s York, PA Logistics and Repair facility. In October 2006, he was promoted to Vice President of Logistics & Repair Operations. Under his leadership, Signal has opened a state of the art logistics and repair facility that provides forward and reverse logistics, and handset repair services in support of the company’s wireless handset protection programs. Prior to joining Signal, Mr. O’Callaghan advanced from Director of Manufacturing to Vice President Quality Assurance to Vice President Manufacturing for Bell+Howell. Prior to that, Mr. O'Callaghan held a number of senior level manufacturing and supply chain responsibilities for Verbatim Corp. He holds a BS in manufacturing from the University of Limerick. |
